he don’t have versus he doesn’t
Tui coi film thấy nhiều khi người ta hay nói 1 câu phủ định nhưng lại có tới 2 lần phủ định trong đó. Thí dụ : I don't know nothing, there ain't nobody .
Thêm 1 thắc mắc nữa : She ( he) don't have any car. Tại sao lại là don't? Tui mở subtitle lên thì thấy ghi rõ ràng là don't chứ không phải doesn't. Cái này là cách nói modern ? Thanks
:xIn formal English, “don’t” is not used in the third person singular.
ex.: “I don’t like avocado ice cream” is correct,
- and so is “they don’t have their passports yet “
- and “they don’t have the sense to come in out of the rain”;
but “he don’t have no money,” though common in certain dialects, is nonstandard on two counts: it should be “” and “any money.”

The same is true of other forms: “she don’t” and “it don’t” should be “she doesn’t” and “it doesn’t.”
